hi guys..just purchased a silver 01 A8 L a few weeks ago..paid 30,000..42,000 miles on it..certified til 07..gave up my 98 7 series..teh 7 is a blast of a car but it's not for winter...i thought i would drive a bmw for teh rest of my workling life...but after the first week i must admit...this car is the most underrated car on the market...the throttle response is so quick that i drive my my shoe off so i don't rear end anyone..i use it for may daily all highway commute down the nj turnpike 100 miles a day..but the car makes the commute quite enjoyable..this is the first car i've owned that my wife pleads with me to drive..(she thought teh 7 was too low and too heavy..) changing teh tranny fluid in a few weeks...i'm no punk but driving in sports mode scared the hell out of me..haven't touch tiptronic controls yet..i love the understated elegance unlike the which is becoming a pimp mobile..(although i will miss my staggered 18 inch M Par rims!) glad to be aboard..

The 8 is indeed great huh? I always thought BMW's handle pretty well, until I got my S8...
