So what was the fix for the vents? Did you get a new one? Did he just clean out the lines? Were ALL vents not working?

Thanks

Hi, it was the coolant valves, they had to be replaced with a new unit. Also my expansion tank was in poor shape so that was replaced also, and flushed coolant obviously.

Since then everything has been fine.

Default After changing everything up front including the H2O pump

After performing a couple of basic flushes and pulling the radiator, I re-filled the system with distilled H2O and the proper coolant. As an afterthought, I drained a little of the fresh mix and added a pint of RMI 25 to the mix and drove around for a couple of months. I drained it (again) and noted the trash that had gone into solution and repeated the process (again). Bottom line is the system is now clean and clear, with the radiator now flowing like a new one.

I don't believe my D2 ever had the cooling system flushed. It was crudded up to beat the band.

RMI 25... on ebay

You've probably already noticed, but when you lower the car, it REALLY makes the wheels look too far inboard...most would add spacers (not a fan of that method, but use only high quality if you do) to bring em out a little.

If you ever buy aftermarket wheels, the offset should be at least 30-35mm to bring em out some...stock (your S8 wheels) are 48mm offset.
