Default New problem, need help. Was driving yesterday and all of a sudden I felt a vibration that felt like

a flat tire. Got out of the car and no flat. Was 20 miles from home and by time I got home it was very apparent and the vibration related to speed. What could this be?

Default Have you changed tires lately?

I have had lug bolts come loose 2 month after changing over to snow tires.

Default Driving thru snow?

Snow often builds up inside the wheel, and if a chunk falls off, the wheel is instantly out-of-balance.

Default was driving on snow but no build up, could have been a wheel weight but feels different than that

Could it be something more serious? A while back some had mentioned that the burnt oil smell that I keep getting could be from a torn C.V. boot could have this finally let go? It almost feels like a bad wheel bearing.

Default Are you running on all cylinders?

Sounds like a stupid question but if you are running on, say 7 cylinders, then the car shakes badly at 1800-2200rpm. FWIW
