I had a similar experience in another car. It turned out to be a universal joint that was in the process of "going out". I didn't figure it out until the damn thing dropped and made a h*ll of a racket (and stopped me cold in El Paso).

Seems to be from right side close to the transmission sortof grinding thump noise like I had when I
had a bad wheel bearing in my SHO. Do we have universal joints in this car?

if you feel the "flat-tire" vibration when off the gas, but its generally OK when on the gas, it
could be a the CV joint.
I had the flat tire feeling in my old Legend Coupe, which arose very suddenly when I got on the highway. I thought I had a snow/ice buildup in a wheel, and an Acura dealer even diagnosed that. But after cleaning out the wheels, the problem persisted. It turned out to be a bad CV joint.
The symptoms were:
-when on the gas, the problem was either nonexistent, or very mild;
-when off the gas, the problem felt like I had a flat tire, and the thumping changed with the car's speed.
