New question about importing an S8 (haven't seen it asked)
The situation has changed with the announcement of the S8 for the USA. However, it appears to be tiptronic only. OK, so how hard would it be to import an S8 with a manual transmission if its twin with an automatic has gone through all of the red tape thanks to AoA?
I do realize that they will cost more in Europe, but I am just curious as to whether it is possible.

Even changing the transmission requires full approval to happen
so this won't help much at all. Apparently that's why they usually only bring in auto's as testing both for the few sales isn't worth it. We just need to convince AoA that Audi drivers are differernt from the usual lazy people and they do like having a manual gearbox !
