Basically, I was thinking of a straight swap of the filler panel for the panel with bracket. We can work out the logistics off-forum.
Anyone know if there is anything more complicated to it than that? Extra bits involved? Is either piece significantly more expensive at the stealer?

I think you can get at them from the back, if you remover the center lower grille.
Be very careful popping them off, is the message. You may want to get a couple of nylon trim sticks. They're useful to have around, in any case.
