Noisy boot with steering column?
I'm sure a lot of people have this issue but wanted to check in. The steering column in my S8 is pretty noisy when it moves into the exit position as I turn off the car. It's probably just the boot around the base, but didn't really know. Anyway, it doesn't bother me that much, but my riders often ask me "that sounded like a stuck elephant." It's embarrasing. HEheheh.
Any recommendations?

Re: Noisy boot with steering column?
Mine is noisy too. I had the stealer look at it and they said the cover needs replaced - $450.00.
I asked if it was covered under the CPO warranty and they checked with Audi and Audi said it was considered "trim" and not covered.
Not surprising. I'll live with the noise for $450.
