Default Notice to all Audi A8/S8 D2 owners: Petition to Audi of America to investigate the Transmission.....

If you have had the common transmission problems characterized as "hunting" or any other issue with the transmission, list your name, address, car year and model, description of problem, and incurred cost of fixing the problem. Once we have a finalized list, I'll send it to the A8 advocate team.

I like the idea, but I would recommend listing address/info only privately via email

I could list a vin, or you can email us for mailing addresses.

My transmission hunted at 80k, and failed at 108k. 2nd owner since 18k miles, CPO Warranty thru AofA dealer.

Cost to replace was approximately $3,400 not including towing etc...

Default It's the valve body

Tozo has figured it out, it's worn parts inside it. I don't think you will get anything out of AoA on a 97-99 car, it's 2007.

Default I take that back, the dropout of the TC on the highway is the valve body

But I suspect the hunting is the VB also.
