Default O2 sensors replaced -what a difference

The job took about 2 hours as I had to rewire new sensors to the old loom plugs.
Recommend using bosch universal sensor-about 1/3 the price and no different except wiring adaption
for which all parts supplied]
All in all very easy with new tool [see earlier post]
only broke one retaining clip[$2.00 but three week wait]
Even though the measuring blocks were in spec mostly before except for an intermittent fault at cold start, they were at the extreme ends of specs -now much better and noticible improvement in responsiveness of car.
One mechanic I knows recommends replacement at tune up of all cars.
Probably makes sense as they are so crucial to mixture.
Also an immediate improvement in fuel consumption

Default The universal Bosch O2 sensors I have are part number....

LSH25
0 258 003 275
4870122 12V

I believe that the LSH25 is all you need- it is a 4 wire universal Bosch O2 sensor. You need to splice the connectors off of the old ones to the new ones. As I recall they were about $40 each. I have yet to install them, but will need to very soon.

Default How do you check the specs on the ones in the car?

"they were at the extreme ends of specs"

I'm being too lazy to do some Bentley research, if I can get a quick answer here.

;-P

Default I found my receipt......

I bought them from Shokan Coachworks for $49 each 10 months ago. They have them in stock now for $55 each, still far cheaper than stock units! The Shokan part number is:
13275

Disclamer- I am in no way associated with this company, only a customer.

http://www.shokan.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=728</a

Default did you replace the ones before the cat or after (or all 4). I'm told the pre-cat ones are the most

noticable in terms of drivability.
