"Pending P0600". Connections seem OK on back of instrument panel. What do this mean?

I even pinched my nipples!...
No water under or in ECM box. Reset 3 plugs in dash, but I did not use dielectric, should have I suppose, but is very tight back there. Under dash ECM seems solidly plugged and not wet. P0600 says 1. Poor electrical connection 2. Shorted information sensor 3. FAILED ECM. That I'm afraid needs my Indi-guy to put his magic to it. Probably a fuse, but dash is connected with cigarette lighters, and they work. If it turns out to be the additional cigarette lighters I wired in I'm going to by a Hyundai V-8 for $25k and get a 10 year warranty! The hyundai may even be faster than the S8, as mine only went 9.8/75 mph in 1/8 mile. I was not happy, that means a 16 sec car! My buddies slant 6 ate my lunch! He ran 9.0/77 mph and of course pulled me bad with his manual.

You wired additonal cigarette lighters to get power from where?
The cigaretter lighters ussually draw a lot of current, I hope you did not melt a wire. I wouldn't splice any wires, but if I had to I would try to go from the battery or at least the fuse box. You need to get to the wiring diagrams from Bentley and check that you did not melt a wire, or at least that you have +12V and not +3.2V. The ECM is not under the dash. Its in the cowl area on the passenger side. I had a similar issue three years ago, that the car would start and die, but as soon as i dried everything in the cowl area, and cleaned the drains it went away. 0-60 should be around 6.3 secs.

I put 2 additional cigarette outlets in the rear of the center console. I am...
not using them for anything more than cell phone battery recharger and a Garmin GPS unit. I splice into the 12V wire to the existing cigarette lighter. Naturally I checked what I did and everything is OK with 12V+ each. I know that the dash lights and cigarette outlets are fused together, and all fuses are OK. Nothing there is shorted. Get the hook!

We have had rain, but ECM box was bone dry, and is in heated garage...
What bothers me is that the dash instruments, check system and door/lights chime don't work. Oh, and steering wheel lock doesn't lock wheel
