Oil cooler leak again

Previous repair was, in fact, the usual plastic oil cooler pipe between oil cooler and block. They did do the proper repair, including the pipe, all 3 coolant o-rings and the oil seal: items 23, 22,24,(unlabeled one for the rear), and 25 respectively on the attached diagram from Bentley. (lifted from Paul W's page- Thanks!)
When I went in to pick it up, explained the issue with the printouts of ETKA digram as well as a page from Paul W's AudiPages procedure.
The new problem turned out to be the seal between the cooler housing and oil filter mount. The seal is item 20 in the diagram. He also replaced the two internal o-rings (items 18) and I believe the seal at item 11 just to be safe. The "normal" repair procedure takes the cooler off, and replaces all the seals for the external connections, but not the internal ones, which is why I had to go back in this time.
He did cut me a break on the labor, since they're starting to get really good at it (he had a 2001 in the shop at the same time for the same type of problem), but that's still $510 labor on top of the $640 from the original repair.
I will go on record as HIGHLY RECOMMENDING that anyone who does their oil cooler repair, or has it done at a shop, replace the internal seals while you're at it!
Paul, would you be willing to update the "official" procedure to reflect that? I would hate to have anyone else get stuck for an extra 500 bucks or multiple hours of labor/frustration for want of $20 worth of gaskets/seals that could be done "while you're in there".

Even a whole new oil cooler which made me think "maybe" they redesigned something??
Could have been overkill I suppose, but since it is a tedious and time consuming repair, best to do it only once.
I'm glad I opted out of doing it meself because now if it fails again, I can at least bring it back and "hopefully" get some satisfaction for spending 8 large.
Car is perfect now, save for a shreaded tire from S.O. attempted motoring whilst a nail lodged inside:/
So, on tap tomorrow is the winter tire install and new pads all around while I'm at it.
