Default Oil leak

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/83934/dscf1154.jpg"></center><p>Hello there,
I got myself into trouble. Noticed that my A8 is leaking oil. Removing the air cleaner showed that the cause is a part that is located above the oil filter housing connected to an electrical cable.
Any ideas what this piece is called and if this is rather easy to replace (I am not a mechanic).
thanks a bunch,
-GP

sounds like a good idea, on the other hand I just figured out they are new below 10 bucks, so I might as well get a new one :-)
Do I need to drain the oil for changeing?

As I recall I used a 22mm socket and it was just a tad too short with the ratchet fully conected, bottoming out on the bayonet tab of the switch. Try getting just the tip of the ratchet engaged so that you have enough purchase on the socket to loosen it. The same goes for reinstallation. By the way, it's the oil pressure sender and I understand its failure is pretty common.

Default here's what you can do to get the old one off:

cut the plastic part off of the old one and then you can get a socket on it. I zipped it off with an air body saw.

You can reinstall with a stubby 22mm wrench.
