The bottoms of the hoses are WAAAAAY down low behind the motor in a space that's ALMOST impossible to get your hands into. The problem is, it is in fact POSSIBLE to get your hand down there. It is even possible to put a worm clamp on to secure the hose end. Possible, if you use an end wrench to tighten, and turn it over each 5 degree turn. If you do it this way, make sure you tie a string to the wrench, and tie the other end around your neck or something.
There are two SMART ways to do the r/r. One is to use zip ties or spring clamps to get the bottoms of the hoses. The clamp doesn't have to be megastrong, just enough to hold it there. The second is to remove the intake manifold altogether. If you do that, it's very easy to get at everything, and if I have to do it again, that's what I'm doing.
