Default There are three covers that need the new gasket

Two on the RH head, one is for the cam locking tool, don't know what the other one is for...but it's there.

The third one is on the LH bank where the cam locking tool goes.

I doubt they replaced the second one on the RH head.

Default Doc- the oil cooler is below the exhaust manifold, so it is an unlikely culprit.

I'm with Paul- have them double/triple check the rear cam covers. If you want to check yourself, let the engine cool off and reach around the back of both of the rear cams (it's a tight fit on the drivers side, but you can do it) and feel for any leakage below the round cam covers. I can't remember if you need to remove the plastic beauty covers, but in any case it would be easier if you did.

Default As funny as it sounds, when my car would warm up

I would get a oil smell, and smoke from the right side of the engine. I took it to the stealer who suggested I replace the Valve Cover gaskets, but wasn't sure if that was the cause. I told them to go pound sand, meet PW the next day for a vag com demo, and he spots a cut CV boot.

Default If they can't locate the leak then clean/degrease the engine, have them put some color in the oil,

Drive it for a day or two and You should be able to locate the leak.

Default I have the same problem

My mechanic said that the he thought the transmission housing was leaking (weeping). Not sure if I believe him, but we agreed it wasn't worth fixing. My car does it when I brake hard the first time in the morning. As if it is puddling somewhere and pours off when I stop fast. I'm not sure if it's oil or a fluid. Funny thing is that I've never had one drop of anything on my garage floor.
