Jumpers from where to where?
Judging by ETKA the switches are all identical, so their functionality shouldn't be an issue. What actually regulates the auto up/down? Could it be as simple as swapping a relay/module?

If operated from drivers position, the rear windows are not within your line of vision, therefore someone or someting could potentially get trapped. (However, they have a pressure safety).
Imho it wouldn't be for children perse, as you can switch off the operation in the back if need be. Personally I'd be mainly interested to operate the auto up/down from the drivers seat. That would be convenient. :-)

There is a procedure somewhere here on audiworld to do it....you just physically add one wire per switch connetor to jump two contacts on the switch and you're in business.

to accept anything but the 00102 that is the original (default) setting (it's a '01 S8). I guess the S8 does not, indeed, accept anything else.
