Default The shuddering is a physical thumping in the car. Like the slop in the driveline

is being racked back and forth. The engine runs fine and does not stall due to the TC being stuck.

Default Put the entire car on jackstands and spin each wheel one at a time. Maybe you can isolate it to a

wheel bearing or driveshaft. If its all clear with the wheels off the ground then id suspect the universal. (this is of course pure speculation)

Default Thats exactly what ECS just said. Who here has just recently had their drive shaft rebuilt?

Anyone know if its really difficult to unbolt the thing and replace it?

Default I will have to see what ECS has diagnosed. I am hoping it is not the tranny.

The sound seems too loud and mechanical to be within the tranny housing. It must be the central driveshaft u joint and bearing.

After pulling mine out, the "clunk" for me was the front CV. Center u-joints seem real tight as did the rear CV.

The center support bearing is a little shaky too, I think.
