It sounds like you sometimes need the utility of the Avant. I'd be hesitant to throw any type of cargo in the backseat of my s8 even though I know it'd fit.

I personally prefer the S8 having driven an S6. I like it more in every way. Some things stand out: it feels lower to the ground, "tighter" and more responsive.

The one caveat is, we also have an SUV. So, if we ever need to go somewhere with the dogs or haul something large, we take that. That the S8 can't do.
