As if anything else can go wrong today! Murphy's Law is alive and well in my garage. I removed the passenger's side headlight assembly to get some room to work...as I'm doing the timing belt. I put it on the floor and then figured I'd better move it. Well my stupid butter-fingers dropped it! It seemed okay until I looked inside and saw that everything was askew. My car is a 2001 with the xenons and the little motor that adjusts the lights each time you start the car. What broke is the little white plastic brackets that hook the lights to the pivot points. It's a weird looking setup. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get the plastic parts? Or do I need to bite the bullit (or take one in a vital organ) and purchase an entire headlight assembly?
I'm trying not to be depressed too much. And I'm continuing my timing belt job. Got all the new hardware installed along with the water pump. And now it's time to put on the belt and go through the tensioning procedure.

in good shape on the inside. I have never been able to find a source for the fiddly little bits inside these headlight assemblies.

Since it is non xenon, it won't have the self leveling feature.....but you might be able to use it. Can't remember what side it is.

I don't think it can be fixed. The white plastic pieces are broken. They are kind of complex in their shape and at first I couldn't see what was up. But after studying them I realized that they snapped clean along a seam or edge. So I will start looking for the pieces or a whole assembly.

are the same for both xenon HID and halogen lamp assemblies. The nylon ball sockets are brittle- that is why I'm guessing that is what is broken.
