Default p0706

its been "awhile"!!! Im certain there must be a P0706 code discussion somewhere in here, I just do not know how to search for past discussions on a 1999 Audi A8 4.2 throwing p0706 codes.
i understand its targeting the Trans Range Sensor and have watched several "videos". I have also seen some videos regarding the TCM.
Apparently the T R S is a bit of a bugger to switch out.(very bad Back). I've owned since new and enjoy keeping her running!? She otherwise works Great!!!. I'm kinda an OLD gear head, just hate wasting time.
in the past, I have been able to clear codes, restart, and then shift to N, then slide into tiptronic with success, but reverse was sometimes a "clunker". Now, dropping into limp mode immediately. Apparently "TozoM8" is the tranny guy? How can i access his old posts?

Audi garage includes;
1999 A8 4.2 since birth runs GREAT! a-c original and cold, heater ify is only issue other than T R S
2006 A8L 4.2 " " runs Great. A-c was drive by shot and lost coolant. (slug was stuck and very slow leak of coolant until dry. pulled vacuum to refill fine, slug pushed out when tried to refill coolant under pressure!? YIKES
2015 A8L 4.0 since 2017 and 5k Best Car of the lot
2020 A8L 4.0 since 2022 and 7k runs, but not the car it should be!!! I think its a LEMON!!! Audi keeps trying, no luck!? still under audi pre-owned, but not for long!?
