Hi all,
My car cuts out if you turn the key and start straight away, but it runs if you wait until the immobilizer light has gone out.
I've replaced the little connecting wire as I described on PaulW's audipages website, and that seems fine as I don't get any other error code.
My gut feeling is that it could be the battery and that it struggles so much while cranking that the immobilizer doesn't get enough juice to poke the key.
Before I shell out 100 pounds for a new battery I thought I should ask you first. The battery measures 12.7V when ignition off and 13.7V when idling. In both case battery was fully wired up of course ;-).
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your braintime ;-)

That's what stopped me from buying a new battery there and then. I thought the voltages were about right. However, I only checked when idling, I take it at speed it should really read 14.2V +-0.2 according to Tom Denton's book:

Advanced Automotive Fault Diagnosis (2nd Ed)
