Thanks for the fuel pump pic. I need to see the opposite side of the pump. That's where the extra nipple can be seen that pulls fuel from the
left side tank. The part number shown on your pic is a fuel pump for Audi 100 and early A6's as well as Audi 90 V6. It may look similar but you loose the ability to use your left tank. The part number from an A8 fuel pump is 4D0 906 091C. This part number was taken directly from the fuel pump assembly I took apart. After Googling it,I have not been able to find that part number by itself anywhere exept in a few Russian, Polish and German web sites. So it seems that the 4D0 part number is a good number but not sold State side.
Is there a nipple on each end of your pump?
Thanks.

Its not similar to the one I pulled from my fuel pump assembly. Will post a pic of that pump from my original fuel pump assembly when I get back in town tomorrow. Do you know if anyone has successfully installed the pump that you have yet?

the anser is, no. I was going to be the first with the vdo pump.
The Bosch pump has been used succesfully.
Yes, please post a pic. I cross referenced this against the Bosch so I thought I was good to go.
if it won't work, i'm glad i'm finding out now.

Maybe it has to do with the pump. I did not see the factory pump. Now that homeboy says that there's a nipple that picks up fuel from the other side, it makes me wonder. The car runs great, except it starves for fuel after 7 gallons of use after fill up.

It looks similar to the Bosch pic too though?
Did you connect anything to the black part that I see in the top of your pic?
