Default Paging Doc and Bum....and all other Michigan residents!!!....

Holy &^it!! I am moving up to Michigan on the 16th, and was checking out quotes for insurance....it is absolutely outrageous! This no-fault law is for the birds. It penalizes all the good drivers for the idiots out there.
Just to give you an idea, my friend was quoted $6000/year from his current company that he had been with for 6 years. He has two cars, married, no moving violations etc....He owns a 2003 Infinity fx45 and a passat wagon. $6000!!!
I was quoted $3200/year! 1 Car, single, no accidents..97 A8.
Please help, what do you guys do? Please point us in the right direction...Thanks!

Doc...getting ready for dinner!
Bum...cocktails in Birmingham?

Cheers!

Default It is very high here, I use Autoowners and pay around $2500 per year. Call

my friend Paul at 989-269-9555 and see what he can do for you. Yes I am ready for dinner.

Default My insurance is $5400 (very bad record)

PLPD (minimum coverage) through Look Auto Insurance charges an average $2 a day. And I was quoted at $5400 for real coverage and that is with a very bad record (I guess I am one of the "idiots" who can't stay within the limits). I checked online for coverage through various sites. http://www.progressive.com http://www.geico.com http://www.autoinsurancegroup.com/ just for a few sites to start with. Good luck, and don't speed through Ohio on your way here (the biggest police speed trap state in the US)

Default ;) I was not talking about the "idiot" speeders...as I have ......

.....a tic for 124 mph on I-94 in Chicago....it will never leave my record..at least for a long time...I was referring to the "idiots" who do not carry insurance and those who try to commit insurance fraud....which I've been told ran rampant in Michigan...leading to the Insurance companies pulling out of the state...I am a fellow idiot speeder!

Default Jeff, I pay $1200 a year for my 01 S8

I use State Farm insurance and have always gotten good rates with them. My record is clean (but shouldn't be - I'll tell you about it sometime) and I have all my insurance with them, so that helps. I am a very good customer of my agent, maybe it would help if you mentioned my name, Paul Loussia (loo-SEE-uh.) Call 248-681-4520 and ask for Robin, if she is not in (speak to her only) call back on Monday. Let me know what you get quoted, hope it helps.

Paul
