I know there's a lot to read up on and I will, but a couple of preliminary questions if you don't mind:
1) Is this pretty much a plug and play upgrade
on a 2000 ?
2) Do I use my existing Nav/CD drive ? If so, can
I get just the "head unit"
3) I saw a post somewhere on the CAN interface. That displays the same nav info in the dash (in addition to the Nav+ unit) as it does now right ?
4) Do I get another cupholder out of the deal ? I asssume I don't need the center console switches anymore. That alone will sell my wife
on doing this !
This looks like a pretty nice upgrade and pending your answers, something I might pursue.
thanks

For the 00 and newer install. I'm going to do one for my mod too, some of the pages will be the same.
You will abonden your Nav Unit in place, but use the antenna. You can rip your cup holder out too! You'll get it back.

It's linked on the upgrades page, should be complete in a week
