looking at mp3 players for the chariot and i am confounded by the fact that phat will seemingly only sell me through a franchised audi dealer at a price that looks much greater than they will charge e.g. bmw owner.

what the guts guys - can anyone tell me the differences between the various offerings available eg. what is the difference between a phat unit for an audi and one for a bimmer?

with the improvement in playback quality, i do find myself actually considering mp3 for even home musical playback now...

maybe even ditch the turntable....

The Phartnoise talks with your Symphony head unit and displays the track names, artists, etc.

So an Audi one would be different from a BMW one because the radio workings are probably different unless made by the same manufacturer.

If you got a BMW one, it probably wouldn't work right.

Somebody here just got a VW one, had a bit of trouble making up a VW CD changer connector to the 13 pin Audi CD changer connector, but that was it.

down under the price of the audi unit is almost double that of the bmw one...
