Default Phatbox / Audi Concert CD Changer Question

I'm getting an ERR3 code on my Concert Radio in my 98 A8q. I removed the cd unit from the car and released the magazine. Emptied the magazine and quadruple checked that there wasn;t anything else jammed in there. I reconnect the unit with no magazine and I get the same code. Disconnect. Reconnect and insert empty magazine. Same code and the magazine gets jammed in there again. What am I doing wrong?

If I buy the phatbox everyone is talking about is it just a matter of mounting it onto this existing changer bracket and plugging it into the existing harness?

Default Phatbox is plug and play, you have to modify the bracket a little if you want the door back on

Or something like that.

Is the CD changer kaputsky or am I overlooking something? (Based on my previous description)

Are there different models of the Phatbox or do I just call Claire Audi and tell them I'm from the forums?

Default There's probably more than a few "extra" changers...

There is only one "Audi Phatbox" and it's plug-n-play for your changer. As Paul mentions, there is a little work getting everything back into place after installation.

Default Check ebay for pricing

I got mine for $179 shipped. It's due tomorrow, so I cannot yet comment on installation.
