Default Phatbox help

I finally found my phatbox CD. I figured that I would fix my DMS that I corrupted by adding a bunch of music without the software. (by the way it'll still work that way but not very well)

Anyway there are a few cool programs out there to tweak the phatbox now.

I am having trouble loading the voice prompts onto the DMS. Every time I try it gives me an error that it is unable to create the TTS wav file because its in use by another application. I have disabled everything that I can think of. Windows firewall, McAfee firewall, virus scan, and everything I could find in McAfee. I removed a few Ipod rippers that i have installed thinking that may be it. Anyone have this issue? any ideas where to look, or what to try.

I would think this has come up before but I cant find it on the web anywhere.

TIA

Default Are you using the PhatBox media manager to load the songs onto the DMS?

If you are, then the software should automatically load the voice prompts for you. If not, I would check with the writers for the software you used. I've found that the forum at Phathack.com is very helpful with these issues.

http://forum.phathack.com/index.php</a

Default I'm using the latest Phatnoise Music Manager (that I can find)

I am downloading the media manager now. Its not that I cant load the music on the drive its when the music manager tries to write the TTS files (voice prompts) it says that the files are in use by another program. There are suggestions that norton or other programs can affect this. i have tries to disable all of the programs that I can still no go on the voice writing. I will try to see if I can get some support on the phat hack forums. Just wondering if anyone ran into any of these issues.

When you first installed the Music Manager, did you use the CD that originally came with the PB?

Default Yes installed from the CD.

I have AT&T Natural voices installed. The only thing that I can think of now is that I had this problem the very first time that I did this. I ended up using a different computer that had win 2000 on it, worked like a charm. Now I am back to using XP. Is everyone using XP? if so was there anything that you did on set up, or added an update? Its something that is accessing the drive, I swear.

Default Yes, XP with service pack 3. No problems as long as I let the media manager do all the transfers.

Also, I am running Zone Alarm firewall and AVG anti-virus with no interferences.
