Default Phatnoise worth getting?
Just wondering if the Phatnoise is worth getting for the 1999 A8 I have, and if so, what is a fair price for it?

Default I have had a Phatnoise for several years, 1st in my A8 and then moved to my S8...
Personally I would have nothing else... The iPod adapters are clumsy at best and the Phatnoise is very easy to navigate with voice prompts telling you exactly where you are, sort by Album, Artist, Playlist etc... Love it! I upgraded my stock cartridge (20gb) for a custom 80gb drive I cloned. Since these things are plug and play with our radios, it is a no brainer in my opinion.

got mine for my S8 off ebay for under $200. Highly recommended as you can navigate without taking eyes off road.

vw one will work but you need a $50.00 cable to got to your stock cd wire

...spend the LUDICROUS sum they want for the larger cards.

I loooooooove mine... was so tired of having MP3 players flopping around cabin, charging them, power cords, having to hide them from prying eyes, etc.

I'll never look back.

What the guys said - ~ < $200 would be fair, but DO make sure you get all the pieces AND the correct plug for your set up.

Default Yes. I got mine from eBay for $175 and I actually installed it myself.
And that's saying something about how easy the kit is, as I am not a wrench turner in any way.

It is just a 3.5 HDD right? I have not recieved my Phatnoise yet, I just won it on ebay.
