Pimp My Door Panels!
So I took a rear door panel off last weekend....decided to try covering them myself....don't really want to pay a guy up to $100 each panel.
I took a piece of paper, traced out the outline, cut it, fit it, then cut the alcantara just a tad bit larger.
Tried a few contact cements.....none worked, then got this stuff at Home Depot, about $10.....works awesome! Coated both the door and the alcantara.....taped the door off first to prevent overspray, took the tape off, then fitted the alcantara.
Did the upper panel, I think I will try and cut a lower panel.
All I did was cut it just a little bit larger (about 1/4") and then coat both sides with the 3M stuff....then carefully put it down and use a putty knife to tuck it in.....have to cut the hole for the door handle, but it looks factory for sure.

Looks great! My suggestion is to go back to the depot and get the 3m Super 90.
Super 77 works great however the super 90 will hold up for years!
It looks fantastic! I was going to make a suggestion when you had the seats done.
