Hello
After much debate I decided to go with Silver exterior and Black interior. Thank you all for your opinions.
My second choice was brilliant black with camel but the silver looks great and hides swirls the best. I hate swirl marks. I sold an otherwise perfect black BMW 750il because it had swirls marks that would not polish out. It drove me nuts. I debated between the black and silver exterior long and hard. I’m astatically challenged so I asked a graphic artist who works with me for his opinion too. He strongly suggested the silver and I love black interiors so that is that. The car is ordered and my dealer sold me the car for $500 over invoice. I expect delivery in 12 weeks any my dealer has given me a loaner car to use until my A8 shows up. Quite a wait, but worth it nonetheless.<p>John

Congrats! You'll love the black interior. Nobody does a black interior the way Audi does. It's luxurious and elegant, and very tasteful.
Sounds like you got a great deal on the car, too. A 12-week wait sounds about right these days, unfortunately. Yours will probably come through, then, with the Tiptronic buttons on the steering wheel -- together with the new chrome accents on the wheel, too.
I've had an Aspen silver BMW with a black interior over the past three years, and it has done a remarkable job of hiding the fact that it hasn't been washed recently. You're certainly right about that aspect of the silver color!
