I am trying to figure out which set up to go with. I am trying to avoid the hockey puck on the trunk look but will do it if I have to. Thanks.

If you don't have the hot weather package you can do this, or just remove the instrument cluster and mount it inside the dash.

I have dual glass also. Here is how I did mine. I still have a few engineering GPS antenna samples, you can have one if you know how to make the coax cable to fit your gps connector.

It depends on how strong your unit and how good your antenna are. My antenna and my gps unit are good mounting under the trunk. BTW, the signals don't go through the trunk, through all the openings and seals of the trunk.
