Default Please post pics of aftermarket external GPS antenna.

I am trying to figure out which set up to go with. I am trying to avoid the hockey puck on the trunk look but will do it if I have to. Thanks.

Default Mine is under the hat shelf

If you don't have the hot weather package you can do this, or just remove the instrument cluster and mount it inside the dash.

I can't get no satellites inside the car. I have the double glass with metal film

Default You will have to put it outside. Mine is on the roof.

I have dual glass also. Here is how I did mine. I still have a few engineering GPS antenna samples, you can have one if you know how to make the coax cable to fit your gps connector.

Default Let me get this straight. Sat antenna should work thru the Al trunk lid?...

If so, I'll have to try this tonight for my Sirius antenna. That would be great!

Answer: nope, sat radio does not receive though aluminum decklid. D'oh

It depends on how strong your unit and how good your antenna are. My antenna and my gps unit are good mounting under the trunk. BTW, the signals don't go through the trunk, through all the openings and seals of the trunk.

Default I hear that GPS signals are much stronger than satradio...

true or not, I don't know.
