Any one here tried the VAG check software,? I have also found a lead that will connect my PDA directly to the ODBII connector http://www.skpang.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=49&osCsid=471ec54885b23dc94375 2eeb854a6fa1
and with the vag check software http://www.arlab.it/vc/main.html
so for 35 Euros, and the lead for £49.00, I should be able to reset my service intervals etc, and on my PDA, or if I dont register at least see fault codes.
etc.....
The Ross Tech software looks like the best but is exspensive ( unless you can convince my wife otherwise ) if you buy it as a package , you can get cheap "opto" leads but you can only use an early version of their software with it, the more advanced cabels are exspensive but also act as a dongel. also if you buy a third party lead you can only load the active software on to one pc.

Show your wife what the dealer charges per hour and divide the cost of the Ross Tech setup by that number. It's a pretty easy case to make that the VAG-COM pays for itself by saving just a few hours of dealer time!
I wouldn't do without mine. :-) Good Luck
