But that is the reason because I am afraid to touch the mirrors.
Has anyone determined if S8 mirrors are coated? Because, if so, polishing once may obligate to do it forever more...

They are an aluminum casting
That is milled out on the inside for all interferences of the mirror.
Don't know if they have a coating or not.
