I had the filter changed and completely flushed out the trans with 16 qts of BG synthetic trans fluid at 60K. Been flawless before and after, fingers crossed.

1998 A8 transmission problems 1st began at 105,000. Squeeling noise and transmission hunting gears in 4th and 5th plus in and out of torque converter lock up. Changed fluid and filter twice and no problems until transmission went into limp mode at 143,000. Tried changing filter and fluid and recoding but fault codes would not erase. Transmission replaced.
