Default Posted this in VAG-COM forum....but maybe somebody here can help

I have a check engine light with a recurring code, 17538/P1130.

When I pull the code and copy the data and paste it in a document it states:

1 Fault Found:

17538 - Fuel Trim: Bank 2 (Mult): System too Lean

P1130 - 35-00

But when I look the code up in the Bently, it shows:

P1130
17538
Long Term Fuel Trim mult., Bank2

System too rich 1)

My question is: Do you know if this code is actually a lean or rich code? My Bently shows the lean code as 17546/P1138

Thanks!

I have a fairly recently updated Bentley, and it says too lean.

Default More Info:

Under the diagnostic codes portion where it just lists the fault codes, it shows it as lean.

Under OBD under the engine, it shows it as rich. Just a mis print I guess.

Default Paul, did you replace all

of your vacuum lines, or just the one you mentioned below? The reason I ask is that the code you show is on the <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/165940.phtml">TSB list</a> for bad vacuum lines.
If you did all that already, then nevermind...

Default Plug in Vagcom and scope the o2 while driving-it will show you what is

going on
The code with the next number is rich ie:
17535 = rich on bank 1
17536 = lean on bank 1
so I assume that
17537 = rich bank 2
17538 = lean bank 2

Default It's only on one bank, long term lean

I had the lunch meat post code, the vacuum line was disconnected, I fixed that.
