Default Power steering fluid dripping from ...

the foam covering over the high pressure line from the pump to the rack. There's an ugly oily mess starting to accumulate just a few inches from the pump.

What do you think -- hose failure, leaking banjo fitting at the rack, or a problem with the rack itself? I'll be taking the car to the dealer Thursday.

Default Most likely a hose failure, posibly a bad fitting......

I doubt the leak you are describing is a problem with the rack itself. Let us know what the dealer finds!!

If the hoses are anything like those used on any Audi I've seen, the banjo fittings are crimped onto the HP hoses. The crimps, over time, leak. That is how all of the hoses on the CQ are leaking, as well as the 5kq and A6Aq.
