Default Power steering flush - quick procedure

Ok, so I had a little downtime while my rotors are getting turned. I had a few slight leaks and was down a little fluid anyway. So, I fixed the leaks by replacing those lousy OEM hose clamps and then did a flush. If you're going to do this you will need 2 liters of the hydraulic fluid on hand. I thought one would be enough and had to make another trip. I got mine at a VW dealer for $18 a liter (about $7 less than Audi). Here's what you need to do:

1) Slide the reservoir out of the bracket and
disconnect the bottom (return) hose. Drain
out all of the fluid into a container

1a) While it's empty, pull the screen out of
the reservoir and clean it. You'll see the
"screen" on the sides and bottom once it's
out.

2) Plug the inlet on the reservoir with a
golf tee

3) Put the reservoir back into the bracket
and now put the disconnected hose into a
a container that's deep and narrow.

4) Have someone start the car and while holding
the hose in the container, keep filling the
reservoir until clean fluid comes out. If you
can grab a third person to divy up the
hose and refill jobs that would be ideal.
The whole process takes a minute, if that.
The fluid comes out FAST so be prepared to
have your helper shut off the car and keep
the reservoir from going dry.

That's it ! I did this on a whim after reading some of the posts last week. Do you really need to ? I don't know. After 4 years and 80k the fluid looked pretty dirty so I suppose it's not a bad thing.
