I just drove a '98 with stock suspension today and I think I'm going to back to this "stock" setup on my 2000. It is a lot firmer than my original setup and a little more forgiving than the H&R's on bad roads. I'm not crazy about the look but it'll be a little better on my car with 17's. Maybe I'll upgrade to 18's at some point.
So, I'm looking for '98 (or '97, '99) if they're the same. Does anyone know if the pre 2000 struts are stiffer as well ?

Maybe a good compromise between the H&R and the 'stilty' non-sport.

Unless you want the ultimate, the Intrax-Racing adjustable custom suspension, as I just fitted.

OE "sports" = S8 ? or something else ? Not familiar with the sport option on the A8..

I would be happy to send them to you for shipping costs. I also have the old struts, but I don't think they are worth putting in.

Aren't they around in the US? Basically they have similar Recaro seats, and sport suspension as the S8 (tho not identical). About 20mm lower than std A8. Should just fit the bill for you I guess, if you want more comfort but no acrophobia.
