problem with new front brakes
I just had new front brakes (pads and rotors) put on at the dealer last week and notice that when I slow down from say 70 to 50 hard there is a vibration. I notice it the faster I want to stop. It is not as noticable at slower speeds but still present. Any ideas as to cause and how I should approach the dealer with the problem?

Sounds like pad deposits on the rotors, read this article...

Did they torque the wheels properly??
You will get a pretty bad shimmy if the wheels aren't torqued correctly (star pattern - I don't remember the torque spec). I had this happen after a wheel rotation job. I pulled the wheels (one at a time) and re-torqued them and the vibration went away. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes?

Had this problem once, but ...
.
it was most noticeable at lower speeds. Light to moderate braking at 15-30 mph produced a violent vibration.
In my case, the pad deposit was a leftover from melting a set of Pagid 4-2 Blue pads on the track. After switching back to the Ferodo 3000s pad, the Pagid deposit eventually wore off -- after about 1000 street miles.
