I have an Audi S8 1998 model with the 5 Speed automatic transmission the car runs prefect but recently i have noticed that when the car is at normal temperature or after driving for about an hour it begins to act strange . it doesn't shift from second to third on drive unless you select the tip mode and you select the third gear . i have hooked it up to the scanner and it gave me the following : transmission fluid temperature sensor .
Can anyone please advise me how to replace it or how can i fix this problem !

It is in the trans wiring harness inside the trans behind the pan.

The temp sensor is integrated into the wiring harness.
U.S. suppliers price it from $200-$260 USD.
Cheapest I found was at:

...but don't know if they ship internationally.
With the part # as reference, you can likely find it locally...where ever you may be.

I got the part last week but i want to know is it from the Sensor faulty itself or my trans oil is overheating ?do i need to flash the radiator hoses first then replace the harness ?

High ATF temp should not trip that code.
It indicates an open circuit or short circuit in the harness...or a faulty sensor.
If you haven't already, I would check the harness connection on the outside of the trans first...bad connection, oil soaked, corrosion, etc.
