Is 0.9sec the gap from the manual to the auto?
Curious. I tend to trust the CAR Magazine, but the gap is large...

What is CAR? No S8 with Auto was ever less than 6.0 secs, I think they were 6.3 or so

Default Car is a fantastic british motoring magazine that does great and frank reviews of cars

can usually find it at Borders or B & N along with the equally good EVO and Top Gear, well worth checking out

Default It's the difference between Automatic and Manual Transmission!

I have A8 book that states that the 2.8 A8 Manual is 0-60mph 8.5 sek and the 2.8 Auto 10.1 sek. Keep in mind that this info is for the D2 with the smaller engine. However it gives a clear indication of the difference in acceleration between Auto and Manual.

Default 2nd

I've been buying them at Borders. Even at $9 or whatever, it's cheaper than the subscription.

I've noticed that some of the better articles in Automobile magazine are articles they've obviously bought from Car.

Default I think Audi has typically been conservative w/ their numbers

But i also do not believe 5.4, even with a manual. I cannot recall such a wide variance between a manual and a stick in a car with this much horsepower....

One man's opinion...
