It's gorgeous; brick red with light gray leather and Sport package. She asked if I would like a ride. Of course! The pavement had a light coating of mist on it. She stepped on it a little hard turning out of the parking lot. Oversteer! Electronic controls just don't do what quattro does. Need I say more.
It's a beautiful car but I prefer the conservatism of the S8 and, of course, quattro.

I just traded in my 740IL after 8 months for an A8l. The big MB and BMW have problem, too much power for rear wheel drive. The traction control is on all the time in anything but a perfectly dry road. Now in fairness, the 740Il was a little better at speed over 120 (sorry, I still do these things.) The A8L is a little light over 120, feels like too much air gets under the car. The BMW squats at high speed and is a little more confidence inspiring. Neverthelss, at speeds under 100, the A8L is way ahead. First snow today in my 2001 A8L and it was great. I have had 8 BMW's. Last three all had service/dependability issues. I finally gave up.
