which according to the family album is "windscreen glass (lam. ins.) with tinted zone". the "heated" option is "4gm".
the part number for my car is "4d0 845 099 da".
however, there is somthing odd here. other options (e.g. 4d0 845 099 ct or ck) are described as "windscreen glass (laminated) with tinted zone". why the difference in description?
cross checking the usa family album, windscreen part #4d0 845 099 cs, which has the same description as my windscreen e.g. "windscreen glass (lam. ins.) with tinted zone", is described as "heatable". seems like i might have a heated windscreen afterall, even though i don't have the option.
anyone have any ideas? how could i check or test?

under the windshield. If it is the thermal glass you will get exactly zero, maybe one on a good day. If you can get the normal compliment of satellites, then you have the non-thermal glass. That is the easiest test I can think of.
