Default Radio stopped working- any ideas?

'02 S8 w/ factory unit and Phatbox. It worked this morning, stopped to run an errand and it wouldn't come back on. It's backlit, so it looks like the entire unit has power- even when the car is turned off the backlit radio unit lights remain on.

Very strange...any ideas on what to check? Thanks for any help!

Default Re: Radio stopped working- any ideas?

It has a separate fuse, I'd check that first.

Default Solar flares are at an all time high. Take precautionary measures.

Wear a tin foil hat and 3-D glasses on your head at all times. It won't do jack for your radio, but it will lead to lots of interesting conversations, and thus make you forget the need for electronic entertainment.

p.s. The President is one of the Lizard People from Arcturus 77A. These hats can also protect you from his demonic mind control powers. Pass it on.

Will follow such sage advice, ohbw. After all, you haven't steered us wrong yet.

Default Whoa!! Do I need to remove the radio w/ those special tools to do this?

I was hoping for a simple DIY fuse replacement.

Default It's working now- thanks for all the help!

Not exactly sure what I did to fix it- pulled and checked all the fuses and none were blown. Ejected and re-installed the Phatbox media cartridge and it now seems to work perfectly. The Audi gods have spoken, and I am to have tunes again.
