I bought this car less than a year used, I unplug the car battery just to replace the caliper cause it was stuck then I found out I didn't have to do that. Now my car radio show SAFE and I have the radio code on the card that came with the car. I enter many time still doesn't unlock. Then I bought those 4 key to pull the radio out and found that the serial number on the card is different from the radio. Dealer want $75 for the code and ebay used radio for $70 w/code. When I had my Mercedes dealer never ask to pay for a darn radio code. Freaking $80,000 car and dealer still charge you money for simple radio code. Audi is crap is messed up, I will never buy another Audi just because of minor radio code and they still charge money. Can anyone help me unlock the code?

I've read that if you have your vin and the radio code calling Audi America can get it for you.
I have a similar issue. I disconnected my battery and the radio is now dead, no lights what so ever. Anyone have an idea?

Get what for you? If you have the code, no need to call Audi...you just enter it to unlock it.
Audi will NOT "give" you the code with just a VIN...and a dealer will charge you to retrieve it.
If you have no lights on the radio after battery change, it's not a code problem. Maybe a blown fuse...but if it was code-locked, the radio would tell with "SAFE".

Hey I know on my 2001 and a lot of them if you pull off your wood grain trim around the stereo/front face, its all just clipepd in, pull from the bottom right above the ash tray just be firm and pull with both hands so even pressure so wont crack the wood and above the entire unit u can unscrew and pull out a bit and usually there will be a sticker with the 4 digit pass code towards the back I know with mine I just grap a flashlight and move some of the cables around..again this is at the top of the unit inside the dash towards the back usually right side, just either have to move some cables/wires or remoce some of the scres holding the entire unit in and pull out a bit..hope this helps
