Default Rear brake disks - how to remove?

I replaced the rear brake pads yesterday on my '99. Had intended also to replace the disks, and had some new ones on hand (still do). For the life of me, I couldn't get the disks to break loose. They seem to be corroded at the contact joints to the point where they're essentially welded on! Fortunately, at 40k miles, they are in good conditiion and still well above the wear limit so I just replaced the pads and let it go at that. However, eventually I'll have to replace the disks. Any thoughts about how to get them off?

Default And ...

after you get it off, smear a bit of high temp anti-sieze on the hub to prevent this from happening again in the future.

In these days of high tech the hammer still rules!
