found a rear spoiler for a d3 a8 on ebay....two questions. A, will this fit my 01 S8? trunk size the same as the d3? the listing says all years but im not sure if the trunks are the same. Also brilliant black d3 is the same as brilliant black d2 right?

yeah but that ones not painted....have you guys put them on just black and unpainted? how does that look?

Are all the rear spoilers like this? I was thinking of getting the m5 spoiler.

some have screws, but lets be honest..theres not all that much down force being put on the spoiler so the tape will be fine. The 3m stuff is pretty tough. Why drill holes in the car if you don't have to?

painting one will probably run you $30-60 at your local paint shop

It came painted ready to go, and was a perfect match to my car. The tape has held up nicely with no signs of letting loose. I let them know it was for an A8, I wanted it 47" wide and what color code to paint it. I just did the old "buy it now" and can't wait to see it on my door step!

The biggest reason I have been hesitating on the purchase of a lip spoiler was because of concern over the color match and the hassle of buying one that had to be painted locally...this one tipped me to the point of instant purchase because of the fact they match to your paint code.

Finally someone on ebay had it already painted so I figured for $62.00 if it didn't work out I did not loose that much.
