Rear sunshade went <click> and now doesn't work.
Rear sunshade has worked flawlessly so far. Activated it today and it went up correctly. A while later, I put it back down (I think). Anyway... I heard a loud click that sounded like a small rock hitting glass (from the back of the car), but couldn't figure out what it was.
I go to put the shade back up while parked and all I hear is a single relay click in back. Nothing moves. I examine the shade and it LOOKS like the lower part is stuck behind the rear deck trim (or maybe that is the way it is supposed to look). I even go so far as to pop up the rear deck trim in case it was hanging up on it, but that made no difference.
Thoughts??? Would VAG-COM know anything about it?

I've had the same problem. It works intermittently. Try it again several times or the next day. It's weird.
I haven't dug in to rip anything apart. Of course, stealer just wants to replace it $800. Bah!

Yesss! It's back... on its own! [knock on wood] Tried for 3 days straight & nothing. Suddenly
Suddenly it works again -- just fine. [compulsively knocking on wood]
I had tried it later that day & nothing. Next day & the next... nothing. I read your message yesterday morning, go out to the car... press the button... up it goes! And down. And up again. Just like before.
I wonder if either the motor hits a flat spot or something shakes loose or gets tweaked somehow. Then it just takes a bit of time and road vibration to move it past that point.
Anyway... thanks for the message. The power of positive thinking!
