Default Rebar sticking up v A8

Rebar wins... Upon backing out of a parking space the offending rebar caught the front bumper and popped the bumper skin off the car. Very draatic.Poor parking lot maintenance will cost the property owner a bit of cash.

Luckily the "skin" didn't tear so cost to reassemble the car is resonable.
I can't figure out how to upload a photo, but it's quite a sight.

Default Heh, been there done that. Make sure you check your headlight washers, they crack easily.

They might snap back in but if there is the slightest crack they will pop out as soon as you use them.

Default Done that too! Ditto on the headlight washers.

They break easy and leak. The covers on the washers are fragile too.

I ripped the front end clear off when mine went.

Goes back together pretty easy though.

Default I almost did this; after I escaped, I removed the rear section of the belly pan and...

...used safety ties to snug the back lip of the bumper section of the belly pan up to the aluminum pieces that the belly pan is held to (you'll see them when you remove the rear piece). This lifted that lip -- which is what catches on everything -- up a good 3" or 4" from where it would ordinarily be. Also, it's not the lowest point on the front end now, so I'm pretty safe. I left the rear section of the belly pan off the car -- better cooling, and the thing is only meaningful at high speeds.

And you can tell my car in the lot because it's always a foot away from the concrete piece...
