Recoded my tranny last night with new VAG-COM -

used code 00012- not much difference, then went all the way to code 00032. Nice to be able to keep it in 1st in Tip mode, but it doesn't appear to upshift when at redline like it did before. I was afraid to let it go past 6500 rpm. . . .

Don't worry, it will upshift, have to go to redline though

I recoded my 01A4 and it doesn't up shift- just bounces rev limiter

I thought 6500 -was- the redline (on A8, not S8)

My S8 shifts at the 7000 rpm redline, but ...

it overshoots a bit by the time the shift is completed. The tach usually hits ~7300 on a full throttle acceleration when I let the tranny handle the shifts.
