Thanks for posting the pictures for me, I have now figured out how to do it.
I do not know if this was a factory option or a complete special. It does look like a very wealthy owner specified it as a high value option though. The car is in good condition, but has not "been loved", I will need to take care of a few scuffs and knocks, so if money was no option I guess the original purchaser just used it. It was first registered in London, so who knows, a Sheik? a drugdealer, a pimp?, or just an eccentric?? Anyway, I will be keeping it for a few years and I am a petrolhead.

here is another S8 in the UK, with the bright red interior (but not on the steering wheel or dash)
